In nursery we decided to celebrate #WorldMentalHealthDay by turning our carpet time into a spa. We had face masks, cucumbers and relaxing music, the children were so chilled. GwladysStreetPrimarySchool

Nursery are taking part in recycling week this week. As part of our Tasty Tuesday, the children made Earth biscuits. They used green and blue icing sugar to decorate their biscuit, then they enjoyed eating their biscuits GwladysStreetPrimarySchool
We have used recycled bottles to plant cress and beans for our garden. The children were super helpers at putting the plants together😊 GwladysStreetPrimarySchool
For “Halloween week” in nursery the children had so much fun expanding on their fine motor skills making spiders. We also talked about what they are dressing up as next week for Halloween, they are so excited. 🎃👻 GwladysStreetPrimarySchool #GSPSEYFS

We have had lots of fun in nursery this afternoon, we have been busy making coconut squares as part of our Diwali topic this week. The children talked about the different textures of the mixture and used their sense of smell to describe the smell. GwladysStreetPrimarySchool
This week we are celebrating Diwali week. The children have had so much fun making their own Diva lamps. We have learnt how to make salt dough using our gross motor skills and also used our fine motor skills to create and decorate the Diva lamps. GwladysStreetPrimarySchool #Diwali #GSPSEYFS

Nursery have been very busy today! We have made chocolate chip cookies and decorated them into faces as part of our nursery rhyme “head, shoulders, knees and toes.” The children demonstrated great cooking skills and turn taking. GwladysStreetPrimarySchool

Today in nursery we have been making our own boats to match our nursery rhyme song. “Row Row Row Your boat”⛵️⛵️ The children have been very creative mark making and choosing their favourite colours. GwladysStreetPrimarySchool
This week in nursery we have been making fruit kebabs. The children helped to cut the fruit up, even some of our family members joined in during stay and play. We had strawberries, bananas, pineapple and apple. YUM! GwladysStreetPrimarySchool

Nursery have been busy using clay to create their own hedgehogs. They used their gross motor skills to roll the clay, then used sticks to create spikes and eyes. The children are very proud of their hedgehogs 🦔 GwladysStreetPrimarySchool
Nursery have had a fun day creating their own ginger bread men. The children were very helpful mixing the ingredients together, rolling and cutting them out. Once baked, the children decorated them and ate them all up. 👩🏼🍳 GwladysStreetPrimarySchool
