Six months ago today, Hurricane Helene absolutely rocked our area. Today, the skies are filled with smoke, and 12,000 acres are on fire within 30 mins of my house. (OK - it would take 45 mins to drive to the Black Cove Complex Fire - but only because Helene washed the road away)
