TT hero for today is a woman called Eileen Sheridan and in 1954 held the woman’s record for LEJoG in 2 days 18 hours & 7 mins (871 miles). She actually carried on riding after some food and then broke the 1000mile record in 3 days & 1 hr (only 20 mins away from the men’s record)

A brave and correct decision. The blue sign needs to be a trusted mark of quality and guarantee of good experience. But what does it say about our roads, that huge swaths of it, despite being paid for by all of, are considered not safe enough....

What terrible wording. If ‘the car’ had only ‘hit his bike’ this 6yr old wouldn’t be dead. Fact: ‘driver hits child with a car’ We have to start calling this what it is, taking road crime seriously and attaching appropriate penalties.
