Longwood forward Michael Christmas (Landstown High) was named to the preseason Big South second team. Last season he was named to the Big South All-Tournament team after helping to lead the Lancers to the title and NCAA berth. He averaged 11.3 points and 6.1 rebounds last season.

Extremely saddened by today's news. John had become a great friend in recent years, and even more so after his move to Farmville. I will miss his encouragement, wisdom, humor and (sometimes blunt) critiques of our team. Rest well dear friend - Julie and I will miss you!

This is also the move Lipscomb should do with associate head coach Tyler Murray. Murray was at Furman for 2 years, was a head coach at D-2 Shorter University and has been with Lennie Acuff at Lipscomb since 2019.

Welcome back to Lancer Nation, Shabooty Phillips⚡️ ! We’re excited to have him join Coach Thomas’s staff as a graduate assistant. Phillips played at Longwood from 2018-2020. During his time at Longwood he led the team in scoring and was on the All-Big South team.
