It really might be time to bench Arch Manning. Yes, Ohio State is good, but I truly feel that a high school QB could be doing better than him right now.

BALL GAME! The #1 team in the country goes down in Week 1! It wasn’t pretty, but the Buckeyes defense exposed Arch Manning and defended home field in a big way. Buckeyes will be the new #1 entering Week 2 while Texas…yeah they’re in trouble.

Arch will get a lot of hate but Sark deserves a lot too. He’s called a terrible game.

Sark: “We’re going to fix our red zone struggles from last year.” Game 1: Red zone struggles are 10x worse than last year. Even better? It’s against the same team that ended their season last year.

Texas is now 0-1 with games remaining at Florida, vs Oklahoma, at Georgia, and vs Texas A&M. If the Longhorns lose two of those games there is a high chance they miss the CFP. Margin for error just got a lot smaller.

Also has someone checked on Paul Finebaum ? I know he must be struggling right now.

Wow. After all this Texas will have a chance to go tie it up. Unreal.

So does Bama fire DeBoer after they lose to FSU? Or do they wait until they lose at Georgia to do it? What a disaster.

There is 9:45 remaining in the third quarter and Alabama’s season is already over. Ouch. Nick Saban may have to come out of retirement starting in Week 2.

Clemson has had every chance to put this game away and has failed every time. Huge credit to LSU for hanging in there and taking the lead. Just 12 minutes away from ending their 5 game losing streak in season openers.

Major choke job by Clemson tonight. Missed FG, dropped passes, horrendous defense. This was a massive resume boosting win for Brian Kelly and LSU who finally get over the hump in the season opener/big games.

In other news, Cal has themselves a QB and Oregon State is hot garbage. Gonna be a blood bath in Corvallis.

These Clemson WRs are straight garbage too. Catch the ball. It’s your only job.

Terrible play calling on those last two plays by Clemson. Dabo was outcoached big time tonight. And Clemson’s CFP hopes take a major hit while LSU’s stock just skyrocketed.

Late night observations: Oregon State is not good. Was supposed to be a bounce back year but could struggle to make a bowl. Cal has themselves a stud at QB. Will be fun to watch. So does Utah. Dampier is awesome and will have Utes in B12 Title contention. Umm Washington?

Miami takes down Notre Dame in dominant fashion! I’ve got a feeling ND’s QB battle isn’t over yet. Miami’s defense was dominant, Beck looked solid, and ND’s defense has a lot of questions. Not sure I see another 10-11 game winning streak to end the season.

30.7% of Dak Prescott’s incompletions tonight came on drops by Ceedee Lamb. Prescott gets a lot of hate but he played extremely well tonight. Lamb’s drops, plus the RB fumble in the redzone before the delay ultimately cost the Cowboys. Great game to start the season, though!

Ravens looked great tonight…until they didn’t. Been saying for years now that they don’t have what it takes to make, let alone win, the Super Bowl. Tonight that still proved to be true in an epic (but expected) choke job! But huge credit to the Bills, too! Insane comeback!
