Posted on this before b’cos I was in the Ullevi Stadium that day. It’s up there with any ‘blow your mind’ achievement in athletics. At the time, he was the only triple jumper in history over 18 metres. Only 7 men have broken that barrier since in 3 decades. This year, no one has.
