If the FY 2020 budget is approved, the City of Albany’s budget would be around $288 million. This is a 5.6% increase from last year. City Manager Sharon Subadan says there would be no millage rate increase and no increase in utility rates or fees to account for the increase.

The Albany Community is out here tonight to learn about the city’s sewer system. They’re learning why there were so many sewage spills last year, how the problem will be fixed and why millions of gallons of sewage spill after heavy rain every month.

A new affordable housing complex will be built in East Albany. The Dogwood Trails Apartments will be built on Marie road. The complex will offer meetings for residents, partnerships with the Boys & Girls Club and monthly visits from Albany Area Primary Health Care.
