Year 10 visit Yorkshire Sculpture Park

Last week our new prefects embarked on an exciting weekend adventure at Brathay Hall, nestled in the stunning green hills of Ambleside. They enjoyed activities such as ghyll scrambling, high ropes, & whale boating.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to . and Sean Blinkhorn for their exceptional guidance. Through Sean's expert tuition, our GHS pupils enhanced their swings, acquired new skills, and excelled in the competitive sport of golf.

Recently GHS pupils visited Heathside Residential Home, as part of Miss Jones' Poetry Club & Poetry Together Scheme, to read poetry the pupils had written on the theme of 'Happiness'. Staff & residents stated hearing the poems put a smile on everyone's face.

On Thursday, pupils left Golborne High School ready to spend an exciting day Chester Zoo. The zoo is home to over 35,000 animals from more than 500 species, including many endangered species like the snow leopard.

What a fantastic day it has been as we warmly welcomed our incoming Y7 pupils. The Class of 2029 truly shone in their fresh uniforms, and we were delighted to meet the newest members of our Golborne Family. We hope that everyone had an enjoyable first day of learning.
