The M1 max is really something, and the Mac Pro was kind of not? (at least for my workload) The 28-core Mac Pro could build iTerm2 in 1:14. With all but 11 cores disabled, it could do it in 1:04. A MacBook Pro with an M1 Max can build it in 37 seconds. ❤️

Fellow Xcode users: single-stepping in the debugger randomly hangs for me (in a mutex in GCD) leaving the debugger unusable. It has done so for a decade across three different projects/companies. Is it just me? Has anyone tried to fix lldb?

By the way, Signal is hiring! We're specifically looking for iOS devs, including a tech lead role, but there are some other positions as well. I've been there a bit more than a year now; feel free to ask me about what it's like! signal.org/workworkwork/

Gonna release 3.4.16 soon to fix a bug with tmux integration, but it won't have beta test coverage so please try iterm2.com/adhocbuilds/iT… and let me know if it works!

Have any mac devs out there used NSFileProvider? I think it's unusably buggy, but it'd be nice to get confirmation that it isn't just me.
