The Invisible Committee: "As long as being of the left will mean denying the existence of ethical truths and correcting for that impairment with a morality that's as feeble as it is expedient, the fascists will continue to look like the only affirmative political force, 1/

Gonna put together a short reading list of books and articles that have informed my understanding of fascism. Please respond with your own. If you're American, this short text by Robert Evans is a good place to start. theanarchistlibrary.org/library/robert…

Treating a nuetral expression of Judaism as being a symbol of Israel is being anti-semetic. Period. "Oh but Israel did that first!" Shut the fuck up. You are harming the Palestinians and making Nazis cheer.

So far this book is a mixed bag in terms of accomplishing what it claims, but very worth reading. Its great and lacking because of the authors perspective as the son of an evangelical minister.

This would be hilarious if it wasn't so fucking evil. Who the hell would fall for this? This would have been transparent bs if they had been releasing it all along but to start doing so now is just...

Another thought on the Fascism discourse. There seem to be people who think you're downplaying the horrors of Colonialism if you don't call it fascist. Aimé Césaire, author of Discourse on Colonialism, saw the two as distinct but interdependent , and I agree.

Five days since Aaron died and we're seeing a massive wave of actions directed at the military industrial complex. His critics and concern trolls can eat shit and rot

the day we stop assuming that the world revolution is the sum of individual nation-state revolutions is the day we can start arguing about shit that actually matters and leave the 20th century behind for real

It's remarkable how hierarchy can cause people to confuse cause and effect. Key to the fuctioning of hierarchical power is the obscurance of the very obvious mechanisms of power.

“We need to know what capitalism is, but not in order to wonder at it and enumerate its sublimities. The concept of value is nothing, for communists, if not a cross-hairs that flashes red when we need to smash something.” — Jasper Bernes, The Test of Communism. @outsidadgitator

Ok: here's time for an actual hot take on the left. Optics is very important for political movements and pretending it isn't is a consequence of the left being stuck in a place of irrelevance. This doesn't mean capitulating to bourgeois values, but advancing working class values.

We need to explain why we do what we do in ways people can understand and appeal to people outside of our immediate millue. Most leftists instantly become part of an echo chamber and forget how to talk to people outside it. This is a disaster.
