Okay, this is a wild stat. Tampa received 11.23" of rainfall on Wednesday from #Milton. Their previous wettest October 1-31st was 10.33" in 1922. THEY BROKE THE MONTHLY RECORD IN A SINGLE DAY.

Took the SWTT geography trainees outside today to practice some onsite fieldwork. We also spent a lot of time talking about all things geography. Love my Fridays ❤️

The SWTT geography trainees spent time today improving their substantive knowledge of rivers/coasts before exploring powerful knowledge. This was then linked to decolonising the curriculum (Decolonising Geography) and disasters not being natural (Ilan Kelman). Busy morning!

Chances of keeping warming to 1.5°C target are gone. We’re on track for 3°C by end of century. Current global commitments would mean 2.8°C For avoidance of doubt that would result in economic, environmental and societal collapse. unep.org/resources/emis…

185 schools out of 411 have sent their flags in so far! Please remember I do all of these without an automated system. Flags need to be with me by the 20th November so that I can get them sent down to Antarctica 🇦🇶 #AntarcticFlags
