So very tragic that people need to be convinced that the gesture is more than symbolic. Its a show of support, empathy and awareness of a lived reality by millions around the world.

QDK is having an identity crisis in full view of the world. It seems like he'd like to identify as member of a blended family, great cricketer & supporter of rhino conservancy. But when it came to identifying as human & empathising with a societal issue, it took a lot of thought

The journey was started by our parents and its our duty to carry it on. Our society is abnormal in a different way to their generation, but same in many ways. It's our duty to raise children with that a consciousness of being human, empathetic & understanding of past & future.

Australia making #Proteas life a bit difficult - shooting out Bangladesh for 85 and then getting it quick fast. #Proteas v England now is a must win as Australia have to face WI. The harder task is with #Proteas. Windies could do SA a favour....but unlikely

What a #T20WorldCup it has been for the #Proteas. If you look at it, overall good performances and put a strong England side to the sword. That said, tournaments are won when you perform in games that matter. Its been the downfall of SA previously and it continues to be that way.

It's a 6am wake up for Santi & I. First ball here we come....nothing like an #Ashes series - even for the neutrals 🇿🇦 Santi's making me remember why cricket is so special. #Memories

Unbelievable. This must be a wake-up call to authorities. More than that, more than shock, more than anger.......it needs action. If it happened to a law-makers child, how different would this be?

Legend right there. High School, University and one of my favourite all time movies. " As far back as I can remember, I always wanted to be a gangster."

John Berks has passed. A legend in radio. His gift was humour and irreverence in an age when, even that, was seen to be rebellious. A friend and a mentor and a legend. Manda has been a heroine caring from him. Love to his friends and family.

A voice from my youth. His humour kept Kevin Thomas kept us entertained through the 80s. His Charles Fortune impression was a thing of beauty. Rest well. Mensch

What a game of rugby. What a comeback from the Springboks and also from the fans. We saw everything at Loftus today. Our beloved team, a non-performer pulled off at half-time, new caps, experience, an unbelievable comeback and the customary fight in the stands.

The Springboks will reportedly be forced to ditch their traditional green jerseys to accommodate World Rugby’s policy for colourblind fans at the World Cup. sarugbymag.co.za/boks-blue-worl…
