At an average of $8,648, 350,000 students represents over $3 billion diverted to private, mostly religious schools. In 5 years, when all homeschoolers are eligible, the total cost will be very close to the $4 billion estimated by Florida Policy Institute and dismissed by the Florida Legislature

“Government Schools” is a pejorative, used to disrespect the public schools, attended by the vast majority of America’s children. Disrespecting public education is this guy’s job. Billionaires pay his salary with the hope of lowering their taxes and/or spreading their religion.
