No matter what the Trump regime tries to tell you, never forget: January 6th was a violate insurrection, an attempt to overturn a free and fair election. And it was a Christian Nationalist assault. Christian Nationalism was the permission structure for this violent attack.

5 years ago, Trump's thugs tried to overthrow our government and murdered law enforcement. Here is a list of every officer his angry mob killed or injured on January 6th: 1.) Officer Brian Sicknick defended the Capitol and later died from the traumatic injuries he suffered.

2.) D.C. Police Officer Jeffrey Smith bravely defended our Capitol on January 6th against Trump's insurrectionists. He suffered deep trauma after the day's events and later died by suicide.

3.) Capitol Police Officer Charles Liebengood. He died by suicide after bravely battled Trump's angry mob and helped defend our democracy on January 6th.

4.) Officer Eugene Goodman: he made himself a target on January 6th to divert Trump's angry mob away from the U.S. Senate Chamber.

5.) DC Police Officer Daniel Hodges was brutally beaten in the line of duty on January 6th by Trump's angry mob. Even after being injured, he stayed in the fight to protect the U.S. Capitol.

6.) DC Police Officer Michael Fanone took an off-duty call on January 6th and helped drive away Trump's insurrection mob from the building despite being attacked. His family was later harassed because of his bravery.

7.) Capitol Police Officer Caroline Edwards: She was knocked unconscious by Donald Trump's mob on January 6th, but later continued to fight for our democracy. She is an American hero.

8.) Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn protected his fellow officers on January 6th and pushed back the insurrectionists who tried to overthrow our Democracy. To Donald Trump, they may be adversaries but to us, they are heroes.

9.) DC Police Officer Gunther Hashida experienced extreme mental and emotional trauma while defending our nation from insurrectionists and died by suicide at age 43.

This is Gladys Sicknick, the mother of Officer Brian Sicknick, who lost his life because of the January 6th attack on our Capitol five years ago. Donald Trump should have to look her in the eye and tell her why he pardoned the traitors who killed her son.

10.) Officer Kyle DeFreytag died by suicide due to the trauma and stress of responding to the insurrection and defending our democracy.
