Coded up some 4-directional pathfinding for my NPCs. Click a tile, it'll find the quickest path & get moving. Blue tiles are the path it's following & yellow are the tiles my script has mapped in order to find the target #indiegame #gamedev #indiegamedev #indiedev #programming

Pathfinding upgrade. Tiles can be blocked such as when objects are placed on them & the NPC will recalculate a new path to go around them. Next up, multiple NPCs & some better visuals I think #indiedev #gamedev #indiegame #indiegamedev #unity #gaming #indiegames #gamedevelopment

Turns out it's entirely possible to develop severe RSI in BOTH arms simultaneously when you're an overachiever like me, rendering you incapable of using your phone, doing any #gamedev or even playing games for the last 3 months. I didn't even get any fun meds for my trouble...

Been thinking about this (& related posts) a lot lately & I think it's a concept I'm going to explore further. My schedule, health issues & ongoing struggles with scope creep are making it extremely difficult to make progress lately. Well worth a read if you haven't already.
