‘What George would have made of recent events in America is anyone’s guess. He’d have had something to say, that’s for sure.’

Loved my visit to Seestadt with #turningthetide! There was a hint of George Wylie GeorgeWyllie, 1921-2012 about the work of Jenny Marketou with her paper boats and heritage boat installation . Loved it 🤩

The Wyllie family is sorry to hear about the death of hotelier extraordinaire, Ken McCulloch. Ken commissioned George at the ‘start’ of his career as an artist. George made sculpture for La Bonne Auberge and Charlie Parker’s, two of Ken’s early projects in hospitality.

“George didn’t believe someone would telephone him out of the blue to ask him to exhibit anywhere and it was clear from the beginning that his humour, inventiveness, and energy would be an asset to any organisation.”
