No money for teachers, nurses or doctors, but there is money for war No money for the NHS, but there is money for war No money for the disabled or elderly, but there is money for war. We should be planning for peace, not war. theguardian.com/politics/live/…

I am weary of being sick. I imagine this is why most people lose hope. It is weariness. Being physically &/or mentally unwell, tired to the bone, fighting impossible systems. I see the same weariness around me in those who fight. Acknowledging this, moving right the fuck along.

A 3.5% increase in Award wage is a fair decision. People worrying about productivity really need to ask themselves do they think the lowest paid are the cause of low productivity. I mean get real. Also it still sees real awards lower than they were 5 years ago

If you got to make mistakes as a kid and still be loved by your parents, I hope it's realized what a rare gift that is. People in that position never do because they have no frame of reference and don't believe people are capable of true evil. anyway ur mother

Even after today’s increase, award wages are still lower in real terms than they were when Scott Morrison was Prime Minister. This means ordinary people remain worse off whilst the rich continue to make record-breaking profits from the labour of the working class.

Services Australia loves recovering debts without any evidence the debts actually exist and the story is always 'but we're required to do this to you 😰' and I simply do not care for that explanation.

Here is what the Family Assistance debt recovery legislation looks like btw. Perhaps we do not need to be doing all of this. legislation.gov.au/C2004A00491/la…

Imagine what Australia could do with these unrealised royalties had we received them.... Raising JobSeeker and other payments by $30–50/day would cost ~$7–10 billion/year. $5 billion could build 25,000 new public housing units, relieving pressure from the housing crisis.

In particular we do not need to retain the facility to pursue those single parents who were presumably rorting the carbon tax advance supplement en masse between 2012-2017

Seeing reports that the 3.5% wage rise is "one of the largest above-inflation increases ever", and well. lol no. Eg in 2018 the FWC gave a 3.5% wage rise and inflation at the was 1.9% in Sept of that year

A rogue state that shows how tough it is by blocking baby formula being delivered to the mothers of malnourished babies, using the excuse that it supports their enemy, is one piss-weak state of sub-human scum. #auspol

“They killed my mother — and before that, my brother. I urge everyone: do not go to the American aid distribution points soaked in blood. This bag only contains 2 empty flour sacks — nothing else — & yet they shot & killed my mother as she tried to get us something to eat today.”

15 people in this pic that will claim $295 A DAY in food and travel allowance. 15 x $295= $4,425 PER DAY they will get from the taxpayer. That’s approx 2 months of carers pension in one day, spent on ppl who earn $200,000+ per year.

The Department of Social Services rejected the Ombudsman's recommendation that they stop assuming a parent has actually received the child support they were owed last year before they raise a debt against them 👍
