Rev. Dr. Jack Jackson brought the word yesterday at worship and started the week with devotionals and the first session of R.E.V.E.A.L. for Summer Theologian in Residence at @lakejunaluska.

We had a fun visit today from staff member, Terri Farmer, the Foundation's grants coordinator, and her baby daughter! Of course, the whole staff got to take turns loving on baby girl, and mom got a little break ❤️

This week The Foundation for Evangelism staff visited with long-time E. Stanley Jones Professor of Evangelism at Reutlingen School of Theology, Prof. Achim Härtner, for the celebration of his retirement and his successor, Prof. Dr. Maximilian "Max" Bühler. More updates soon!

Camp in the Community, a 2024 Equipping the Local Church grant recipient, helps prepare church leaders and volunteers to host children's summer camps for their local community. The grant will help churches to make ongoing connections beyond the summer. buff.ly/XpXEdck

On Aug. 10, Foundation president Jack Jackson visited and preached at Lahaina United Methodist Church in Hawai'i, a 2025 Equipping the Local Church Grant recipient. The church lost their building in the 2023 Maui wildfires, but continue to do vital ministry in their community.

While in Hawaii visiting with an Equipping the Local Church grant recipient earlier this month, Foundation president, Jack Jackson, led a faith-sharing seminar for laity at First UMC of Honolulu. Thanks to the Hawai'i District for hosting the seminar!

Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church in Anniston, Ala., used their 2024 Equipping the Local Church Grant to begin a program to help the formerly incarcerated in their area as they transition back to regular life. buff.ly/Nos3hqr

Jack, Heather and Stephen were at Southern Methodist University yesterday to celebrate the installation of Dr. Bryan Stone (former E. Stanley Jones Professor) as Dean at Perkins School of Theology at SMU.

Sunday, Jack was in Tulsa, Okla., for the inauguration of Rev. Dr. F. Douglas Powe, Jr., former E. Stanley Jones Professor, as the President of Phillips Seminary. Congratulations President Powe!
