Signs of wildlife in the field. A turtle crawled out of the pepper patch and a bird left muddy footprints on the soon to be planted pollinator garden row.🐢🐦‍⬛

We planted under an unsettling orange sky in hope of a harvest not promised, I watered sunflowers planted to remember the children taken from us under a dark-too-early sky while the mountain watched on as a hazy memory. "Practice Resurrection" the mad farmer says. And so, we try.

Don't let the heat turn deadly for farm workers. Donations will help us keep doing everything we can to save lives. Stand strong with the farm workers who toil day after exhausting day under a sizzling sun. ufw.org/heat2023 or paypal.me/ufwdonate #Calor #WeFeedYou

I farm because Jesus calls me to feed His sheep. I love that I get to go to a festival where I get to talk to people about how I have known the love of God in my life! #EpiscopalRevival

We are a Sacramental People, Jesus uses the simple things of Creation to touch our lives and call us beloved. Water, bread, wine, oil to anoint, refresh, and claim us as his beloved #EpiscopalRevival #CreationCare

Seek him who made the Pleiads and Orion, who turns deep darkness into the morning, and darkens the day into night; who calls forth the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the surface of the earth: The Lord is his name.

Spending this special day listening to Dorothy Day's autobiography. How are you continuing to honor or participate in the struggle for workers rights this Labor Day?

Today, we laid our sunflower memorial garden to rest. At the beginning of the summer, we planted sunflowers in memory of children killed by gun violence in Massachusetts. Today, we prayed that we wouldn't have to plant as many sunflowers next spring.

Angelica's hard at work at Scheid Wine vineyard. She is pleased that her UFW contract means she gets #Thanksgiving off as a paid holiday. When you buy your wine for your holiday dinner, make it a union wine. ufw.org/ul #WeFeedYou #SolidaritySeason
