August 27, 1965: On their sixth day in space, astronauts Gordon Cooper and Pete Conrad complete their 100th revolution of the Earth even as their Gemini 5 spacecraft tumbles in a roll in order to save electricity and fuel. It now appears that they will meet their eight day goal.
