EU International Partnerships 🇪🇺 Edison Rijna representing the Netherlands 🇳🇱 speaking as an islander from Bonaire who experiences the challenge of climate change first hand, he makes a strong call to work together urgently to tackle this challenge.

EU International Partnerships 🇪🇺 Edison Rijna For my part I highlighted that EU is one of the SIDS’ strongest political and development partners: a key investor with Global Gateway, one of the main providers of climate finance, a close ally in the fight against climate change, and a reliable interlocutor in multilateralism.

EU International Partnerships 🇪🇺 Edison Rijna OACPS Secretariat The relation between SIDS and OCTs is an important issue for the EU as well as for SIDS. #CFF2024 will be an excellent opportunity to move on this direction and I hope to be able to interact with the OCTs present in the Forum to see how we can do that.
