UPDATE: On 08/05/2024 Richard Nunez was taken into custody for the below listed offenses. Nunez was subsequently booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. The incident occurred on 12/16/2023 at I-10 East MM #18.

The El Paso Police Department Animal Cruelty Investigations Unit made two arrests for animal abandonment incidents. The incidents occurred on separate dates and locations.

UPDATE: A local Silver Alert has been canceled. John Kotowski has been located.

A man identified as Devan Gallegos has been arrested for Animal Cruelty after a dog was seriously injured from an embedded chain collar. He was arrested and booked with a $10,000 bond. The dog was treated and released to the Humane Society of El Paso.

Press Release: Last night a crash involving a pedestrian occurred on the 12200 block of Pellicano. The pedestrian, a 42-year-old woman identified as Gloria Anthony, died in the crash. This is the 39th traffic fatality of 2024 in El Paso compared to 53 in 2023.

A man identified as Marcus Anthony Payne was arrested for Aggravated Assault w/Deadly Weapon after a woman was found with serious injuries on August 22, 2024. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a $150,000 bond.

PRESS RELEASE: A 22-year-old man identified as Tyler Jonathan Reardon died during a motorcycle crash on Saturday, August 31, 2024. Speed is believed to be a contributing factor in this crash. It is the 41st traffic fatality in El Paso for 2024 compared to 53 at this time in 2023.

PRESS RELEASE: An 18-year-old identified as Aiden Nathaniel Mosher was arrested for his involvement in a home invasion incident in July. Two juveniles were also identified for their involvement as referred to the Juvenile Probation Department
