This year I had the fantastic opportunity to learn more about #beans by observing and measuring plants from the #Phaseolus collection at #MEXU, UNAM. To me, it's clearer than ever just how important are #herbaria worldwide—true vaults of past and present biodiversity!

Beautiful flower of wild #bean #Phaseolus Phaseolus macvaughii at #UNAM #Chamela Biology Station. Plants must profit from the ephemeral rainy season. The seeds left by this wild bean will remain dormant until the next year. Fantastic!

It's critical to learn how to incorporate new tools such as #AI in the process of writing academic papers... Which are the opportunities, limits and caveats? As any tool, it's a double-edged sword, but nevertheless a powerful one #ScientificWriting #Ethics

This year, I’ve been learning new tools to analyze #ecological data for my #PhD and it’s been incredibly exciting! As someone who’s always loved maps, I’m thrilled to explore spatial patterns for my species. I just generated my first habitat suitability projections using MaxEnt!
