Just wrapped up one of my favorite weeks of the year. I love the planning and creativity involved in celebrating teachers! I am lucky enough to have a front row seat to watch their greatness every day! #teacherappreciationweek #blessed

We owe a HUGE thank you to Total Asphalt for filling the cracks and sealing our blacktop at no cost to us! The generous owner, a former SGES parent, saw the condition of the blacktop and offered this amazing gift to us. We are so grateful and know our Cardinals will enjoy it!

On Friday, we had another fantastic pep rally! The school and squad spirit was out of this world, and our SRO, Officer Duke, was sorted into Mitra. What a great way to end our week! #BetterTogether #6squads1school

A big thank you to the PTA for the wonderful “cookie bar” today. The staff enjoyed filling their boxes with delicious goodies! AND we had a fun raffle to give away the 11 gift cards and 2 poinsettias donated. We really appreciate your generosity. #BetterTogether

Our Cardinals participated in a Tacky LAMP Tour this week! Mr. Corbin, Mrs. Blouch, Mrs. Berlin and Mrs. Coleman collaborated to give students three experiences: Reader’s Theater, a viewing of The Snowman, and Jingle Bell Jam. Thank you to our LAMP team. Everyone enjoyed it!

This week begins National School Counseling Week. We are blessed at Shady Grove with two amazing school counselors, Mrs. Shala and Ms. Askins. We are so grateful for their service to our community! #makingadifference #sges #BetterTogether

Hold your loved ones close—life can change in a moment. I am heartbroken for Monica, Mark, Lily, and Josh. Please pray for them as they mourn this unthinkable loss. Julia was a light for all of those around her and will be greatly missed.
