Deer diary: Got a new field assistant, but so far she's mostly been asleep on the job

Deer diary: Trying to savour my last week of data collection for my PhD but it's just too cold.

Deer diary: Sun getting low on my last ever transect day. Bittersweet because it's been an absolute privilege to walk these hills and call it work, but also my legs are tired, my knees hurt and I'm cold.

The good news is I finally fixed all the NAs in my dataset, the bad news is my model's still rubbish. Thank goodness for puppies.

Deer diary: Saturday night data entry and I am annoyingly chipper in my voice recording

Deer diary: recent trip back to the field to check winter cameras, observe my collared deer, and have a go at some practical deer management.

Deer diary: This is what 7000 scans, of 224 groups of deer, representing 350 hours of observation data, collected over 3 summers looks like. Data entry finally complete!!!
