Most people label all fats as bad and lump them all together in a box. The truth is that all fats are not created equal. There are good fats, questionable fats and bad fats.

People don’t eat ingredients; they eat food. And they often eat foods that contain dozens of different ingredients, many different types of fats, proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and more. So, let’s take back our health, starting with our food.

Calcium supplements are bad for your heart and blood vessels- yet more evidence from longitudinal studies that calcium given by tablet is harmful and should be stopped even if given with Vitamin D. heart.bmj.com/content/early/…

88% of people are metabolically unhealthy, and since the 1920s we’ve shamed them into believing it’s their fault—that they should just eat fewer calories and exercise more. But the real culprit is the addictive, processed foods and food-like substances that we're exposed to.

Another note on sweeteners. Xylitol is known to provoke an increase in uric acid by stimulating the breakdown of those purines in the body, and I think we’d do well to avoid it when it’s added to food products.

Hypothetically if a drug kills 4 out of 10 people, even if it has ZERO benefit, it can still be claimed to be ‘safe for most people’ Think about it. REALLY think about it

The reality about eggs: they've been tested in clinical trials (most rigorous evidence) and have no ill effect on your risk factors for heart disease. What Harvard is pushing here is very weak evidence (not cause-and-effect) to try to keep a dinosaur belief alive. Enjoy 🍳 s!

Labeling fats “good/bad” depending on degree of saturation is non-science. “Saturated” only means chemically stable: The carbon chains contain only single, stable chemical bonds; hence, natural saturated fatty acids resist oxidation, and that's only good, right?

Everyone I know who quit sugar experienced tremendous health benefits. Yet, almost everybody who did also caved at times, relapsed or struggled emotionally to maintain it. If this doesn’t convince you that sugar is a vicious & addictive drug, you’re probably in denial.

Combating Food Industry Lies: Lucky charms is not healthier than steak. Soy burgers are not better than real burgers. Pizza is not a vegetable. Cereal isn’t “heart healthy” because it lowers cholesterol.
