Low public awareness of THE SINGLE BIGGEST TRUMP POLICY INITIATIVE is killing me — please everyday antitrump people talk about this bill, please democrats go to some hospitals and clinics and make some news.

Harry Enten on Trump's big bill: "The amount of disapproval for this bill -- holy cow, my goodness gracious! We're talking about 29 points underwater on the net favorable rating ... we're talking about a negative 41 net favorability rating among independents. You rarely ever see

I'm so serious about this Rs love tax cuts. It's dumb but sure, fine. It's not going to kill anybody. And sure, maybe boost the SALT cap to prevent blue state Rs from defecting But avoid all this factional in-fighting and just pass a tax cut extension bill, no safety net cuts

CBO just released a dynamic estimate and the cost of OBBBA goes from $2.4 trillion to $2.8 trillion. But by convention they don’t include the costs of interest on new debt. If they do that - cost goes to $3.4 trillion. The Budget Lab's comparable estimate was $3.5 trillion. 1/

First time I've seen a tax cut so poorly designed that the dynamic score RAISES the cost by $356 billion. The infinitesimal growth revenues are dwarfed by the rising inflation and $441 billion in interest costs from higher interest rates.

Bad news: Rs oppose any fully refundable child credit Opening: they seem open to full refundability the first year of a child’s life Solution: give the kid $45,000 (18 x $2,500) immediately upon birth

The Republican's bill is unimaginably awful. - Kicks 11 million people off health insurance - Explodes the deficit by $4.8 TRILLION - *Raises* taxes on the lowest 20% of earners - Sells millions of acres of federal land And that's not even the half of it.

One possible reason is Republicans are good at deflecting attention to issues where the public supports them more (like immigration). Which is why the fact that we see Dem members of Congress flocking ICE offices and not raising awareness of the Medicaid/food stamps cuts kind of
