I personally think it’s cool that MCU Spider-Man haters love the suit/is excited for the movie. I just think it sucks that yall didn’t experience this amazing character development like we did. All good- Pull up a chair and enjoy. We’re all Spider-Man fans at the end of the day

Watts crafted one of the best CBM trilogies of all time but folks were too focused on “Iron Boy” stuff. He skipped the origin and still managed to tell us a great coming of age story about Peter becoming THE Spider-Man. it took for nostalgia hitting for people to see that.

Love the comic-accurate suit, web-slinging, etc. in #SpiderManBrandNewDay, but why tear down what Jon Watts achieved? He saved a franchise that Sony nearly killed. Yes, it was a much different take on Spider-Man, but he gave us some of the best Spidey moments EVER on screen.
