Years ago a colleague told me about a resting-state dataset they had. He used AMPT (a drug) to deplete ~80% of dopamine 🤯 in participants and scanned them pre- and post- depletion. I got onboard and we found some incredible things... authors.elsevier.com/c/1eTkY,L21DtC…

Happy to share this paper where we review behavioural and neuroimaging evidence suggesting that older adults store too much information in their memories, relative to young adults. These memory representations can be viewed as "cluttered" or "enriched" depending on the context.

Our society's hyper-focus on productivity means that we generally consider losing focus a bad thing. In a new paper, we challenge this notion by asking whether losing focus can sometimes be good for learning, and where our mind goes when we lose it 🧵 rdcu.be/c1uHF

🎆 New paper 🎆 journals.sagepub.com/eprint/KBTKGPP… Why do children remember less than adults, when they can weirdly form complex, adult-like memories in many moments? In a new paper, we show this is because of the instability of their attention! We tracked attentional fluctuations...
