“In many cases, it will be cheaper for the city to subsidize individual Waymo rides for low-income residents than it is to pay the exorbitant salaries, health care, and pension costs of unionized personnel operating largely empty 40-foot buses.” thevoicesf.org/as-transit-tax…

This is an economic recalculation that many cities are not prepared for. Once you factor in passenger load on a typical bus, and costs of dedicated bus lanes/bus stops vs shared use HOV lanes - it's quite possible in many cities busses will no longer be economical vs driverless

Awesome to be at Stanford this week. Feeling positive energy vibes like I used to back during the dot-com boom. Thank you Cisco for our Advanced AI course here at Stanford.

Yesterday Mark Cuban reposted my work, DM'd me, and told me to keep telling my story. So here it is. I'm a Master Electrician. IBEW Local 369. 15 years pulling wire in Kentucky. Zero coding background. I didn't go to Stanford. I went to trade school. Every week I'd show up to

Cursor is raising at a $50 billion valuation. Elon just pulled two of its product leaders into a $1.25 trillion company and told them to build xAI’s coding product. Both report directly to him. Milich and Ginsberg ran engineering and product at the company that went from $0 to

TIL: Waymo hit ~25% market share in SF, surpassing Lyft & competing with Uber — despite limited coverage, few vehicles, & no airport/highway routes.. Their constraint isn’t demand, it's supply. In 2025 alone: • 15M rides (3× YoY) • 20M+ lifetime rides • 400K+ rides/week

Proud with UNSW RNA Institute to have been involved & making the mRNA-LNP for Rosie. There are nuances here that the thread below misses but nevertheless, the intersection of RNA technology, genomic & AI poses an opportunity to change the way do medicine and make access more equitable 1/8

I know Silicon Valley startups don't want to hear this..... But the combination of someone in the trades with deep domain expertise and Claude Code will run circles around your generic software. I talked to Cory LaChance this morning, a mechanical engineer in industrial piping

Reading this article in the middle of the night made me realize how bad OpenClaw's memory system was. Experimenting with Hermes now!
