the reviews are in. why aren't more journals following eLife - the journal 's lead yet? Nahian Chowdhury @DrSMschabrun

Excited to share my big PhD project preprint! What happens to your pain and brain waves when you chew nicotine gum? 👀 Thanks Dave Seminowicz @daspainbrain.bsky.social, Dr Schabrun, Dr Chiang, Nahian Chowdhury, Ali Mazaheri, Dr Humburg, Dr Furman & Rehan! Conducted at NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia) & Centre for Pain IMPACT 🧠

Said farewell to good friend and colleague Nahian Chowdhury last Friday, leaving Centre for Pain IMPACT for a little while for a research visit to CNAP-AAU! Safe flight, good luck, and see you soon! 🇦🇺✈️🇩🇰

Thrilled to announce that we have received funding from Arthritis Australia to explore novel non-invasive brain stim techniques to treat pain in people with knee OA. Excited to work with James McAuley, A/Prof Tasha Stanton, Simon Summers, PhD, Western Sydney University - Health Sciences, Wei-Ju Chang, Nahian Chowdhury ⚡️🧠🦵

Thank you CNAP-AAU for having me as a visiting PhD student through Brazilian CAPES PrInt Program for the past 6 mths. CNAP’s organization and research activities are impressive! Special thanks to T Graven-Nielsen, my supervisor ciampi-de-andrade and my officemates! 🧠❤️

Pre-print is up for a study Nahian Chowdhury from Centre for Pain IMPACT conducted while visiting us CNAP-AAU! Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) to the insula reduced ratings of capsaicin pain, with potential mediating effects of change in TMS evoked potentials🌶️🤓🧠

Brazilian Interdisciplinary Neuromodulation Group. It was a great pleasure having you with us Nahian Chowdhury 🤗🧠 Thank you very much for your presentation!

We have another new preprint led by Nahian Chowdhury 👨💼 This time.. in healthy participants, 5 days of #rTMS BEFORE painful nerve growth factor injection both increased peak alpha frequency (PAF) immediately after the last rTMS session and reduced ongoing #pain compared to sham rTMS🧠

excited to share our latest findings, co-led by Nahian Chowdhury and Chuan Bi, co-seniored by Siobhan Schabrun, with teams from University of Maryland, Baltimore Western University NeuRA (Neuroscience Research Australia) we validated a cortical (EEG + TMS) biomarker of pain sensitivity in a model of temporomandibular disorder 🧵 1/6

Congrats to Negin HS and Sylvia Gustin on their latest publication in Spinal Cord Journal. Their novel home-based EEG neurofeedback intervention offers exciting new insights for managing neuropathic pain after SCI. nature.com/articles/s4139…

A study led by Nahian Chowdhury from the Centre for Pain IMPACT has found that non-invasive brain stimulation, delivered before the onset of pain, could target brain activity associated with chronic pain susceptibility. Read the full article here: pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39620350/

Excited to see my paper out involving collaboration between CNAP-AAU and Centre for Pain IMPACT where I collected data in Snowy Aalborg. Thank you T Graven-Nielsen for hosting me! Posterior-superior insula repetitive transcranial magnetic... : PAIN journals.lww.com/pain/abstract/…

Wondered why pain feels different for everyone? Our latest, published in JAMA Neurology , reveals a brain biomarker that predicts individual pain sensitivity and could identify chronic pain risk. Congrats to all at Centre for Pain IMPACT Univ. of Maryland Western University ! jamanetwork.com/journals/jaman…

Nahian Chowdhury shared key insights on the challenges and applications of #TMS and #EEG at the International Brain Stimulation Conference in Kobe, Japan. 🧠
