Reforming and cutting the debt limit should be an important part of any Reconciliation 2.0 or end-of-fiscal year discussions. We need to put our debt on a stable, credible path to navigate the coming fiscal crises.

This is such a good point. If you actually watch Charlie’s events—as opposed to the fake summaries—they are one of the few places with open and honest dialogue between left and right. He would answer any question and talk to everyone.

Well said. If we cannot have the kind of civic and respectful conversation on divisive questions, as championed and demonstrated by Kirk, the country is far worse off than many of us imagined. Kirk’s honorable memory should be extolled by all—left and right.

Very thoughtful piece from my friend Rob Wasinger on honoring the memory and legacy of Charlie Kirk with policies the promote liberty and opportunity for the younger generations. It is worth the read.

Building emergency spending into the budget is a solid idea, and something that Kevin Brady - Texas added to his 2015 version of his "Maximizing America's Prosperity Act" (H.R.2471) Sec. 3, Allocation for Emergencies. congress.gov/114/bills/hr24…

Myth: "If growth beats interest rates, small deficits are okay." Reality: As debt rises, investors demand a premium, pushing up borrowing costs.
