Doreen Captain Robert Bury was privileged to be invited to attend the South Morang Fire Brigade Awards Presentation A number of National and Service Medals were presented to the worthy recipients all whom volunteer their time to serve and protect others in the community.

On Sunday Doreen CFA participated at the D14 Rural Championships in Plenty. The Junior team (11-15) bought home 5 new trophies Congratulations to the entire Doreen Team. As promised the Pizzas are on me Doreen Captain GO DOREEN!!

Doreen CFA hosted a General Fire Fighter Consolidation day on Sunday. It’s an opportunity for recruit firefighters to put into practice some of the skills they’ve learnt. Recruits from Macedon CFA, Point Cook CFA, Mernda CFA & Doreen CFA took part all working together.

At the Seymour CFA DMO (District Mechanical Officer) to have an issue resolved on the Doreen Tanker. The issue was quickly attended to by the efficient team who look after a massive fleet of varied vehicles. The workshop is well worth a visit if you ever get the chance.

On Monday Night Mark Roberts was awarded Life Membership of Doreen CFA. Mark has been a member for over 22 years and during the time has held many positions including Captain, Secretary and currently Treasurer Mark is the 4th person awarded Life Membership in the Brigades history
