#Metallica. “One.” 1989. A thrash band performing at the Grammys was a big f’ing deal — an abbreviated version but still highlights just how explosive they sounded, especially with Jason’s backing vocals on “DARKNESS!” & “LANDMINE!” — but of course, the award went to Jethro Tull.
