i love this dichotomy that exists in the minds of trans men where they depict themselves as conventionally attractive and in line with existing expectations for men, whereas trans women must embody every aspect of non-conformity

Ignoring *everything*, it's always so telling how we're always depicted with beards. The only trans women with beards are girls that are fully closeted, because dissociating into male presentation can help with sanity. If you're getting your makeup done, why would you not shave.

This isn’t even just about depictions of trans women in art, but it is very obvious to me in a larger scale that there is fetishisation at large of trans women at their most vulnerable, least happy with themselves, least perceived as women by society and easiest to control 1/2

Most trans women I know don't do eyeliner and like, bad eyeliner is not a particularly masculine trait, pretty much only women do eyeliner.
