Great to see the issue of #NDIS participants stuck in hospital get the attention it deserves in the media this week. Over 1,430 NDIS participants sitting in hospital beds across Australia while there are over 1,000 vacancies in brand new disability housing

In 2021 governments across the country agreed to make changes to the #NationalConstructionCode so that new Australian homes were #accessible. We'll be watching the #BuildingMinisters Meeting intently to ensure every government implements the changes as agreed. Building Better Homes Campaign

2 years ago, Summer Foundation teamed up with Melbourne Disability Institute to create Building Better Homes Campaign and advocate for new homes to be built with improved #accessibility for all. On Friday, every state and territory (bar #NSW and #WA) decided to adopt such standards. A great win! 👏
