Today, my wife and I were honored to receive recognition at the Fairfax Education Association Retired Teachers Annual Luncheon. Strong investment in public education is one of the achievements I am most proud of, and I am grateful to Eleanor for continuing her work to help every student succeed.
The primaries are one week away and I am proudly supporting my colleague Dave Marsden for re-election. Dave has been a steadfast leader in the Senate and has always fought hard for Northern Virginia. I couldn't think of anyone better to represent the new 35th District.
. George Barker has been a champion of women's reproductive rights, gun violence reform, and public education. With 16 years of experience in the Senate, George has ensured Fairfax County receives its fair share. I am proud to support his re-election to the 36th District.
Only three days until the primaries, and I am backing Sen. Jeremy McPike. As a volunteer firefighter and legislator he is the ultimate public servant. He fights hard to make Virginia a better place to live, work and raise a family. I fully support his re-election to the 29th District.
I've known Chap Petersen for State Senate for 20 years. He has been a leader in the Northern Virginia community and works tirelessly for his constituents. I am proud to support Chap for re-election to the 37th district.
Today is Election Day. I'm supporting Dave Marsden , George Barker, Chap Petersen for State Senate, and Sen. Jeremy McPike. They have been great stewards of government and will continue the work that needs to be done. Polls are open until 7pm —Go Vote.
The new Virginia JLARC report proves what Democrats have been saying for years—Virginia’s public schools are significantly underfunded and are falling behind our neighboring states. The Virginia Senate Democrats budget proposal reflects the spending our teachers and students deserve.
Congratulations to all the newly-elected Senate leadership members. Serving as Leader for the past two decades has been a great honor and I am proud to pass on the torch to the next generation. Senate Dems are in good hands with Senator Scott Surovell - ssurovell.bsky.social at the helm.
