Power nap room! What a great idea to officialise resting the brain briefly before tackling the next research challenge. All universities should consider such a setup

Hello again beautiful snapdragons. Pictured, typical magenta pigmented Antirrhinum majus pseudomajus. Field work in the Pyrenees, a stunning place for biologists and old fashioned botanising.

Fieldwork is one of my favourite parts of science. For this paper, I had the chance to travel with wonderful people in Mexico, Scotland and Australia studying how different bees buzz. Thanks to Nat Geo Explorers, HFSP, The Leverhulme Trust and everyone! doi.org/10.1242/jeb.24…

That's Not a Hybrid: How to Distinguish Patterns of Admixture and Isolation By Distance | Molecular Ecology Resources onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/17… Very important paper! Indeed, I have also noticed that Structure/Admixture plots are often overinterpreted as introgression.

My entire team wrote an opinion paper about Common misconceptions of speciation research. Each section is written by 1-2 team members. The bulk of the writing happened during two writing retreats. It was a lot of fun and I am very happy with the result. academic.oup.com/evolinnean/art…
