When all the ballots are counted, 2024 will likely see the 2nd most votes ever, coming close to the 2020 record of nearly 160 million ballots. This year will also likely see the 2nd-highest turnout rate in the last 100 years (again, second only to the record 2020 turnout). /3

Harris lost all seven swing states, but in five of them - Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Wisconsin - she's ending up with more raw votes than Biden got in 2020. If you still think all those swing state mail votes in 2020 were fake, idk what to tell you.

Wow. The NYT used to be ~1% of all us newspaper employees. Now it's 7% and rising. The industry used to employ 150k, now down to ~30k. Only the biggest can even stay stable, much less grow. (Even the NYT has only added ~2k jobs since 2018.)

A Wisconsin child care center closed for 5 days when the Trump admin froze funding for Head Start. Parents scrambled. One family drove their kids to KY to stay with extended family so that the parents could go to work. Two kids left and never came back. wuwm.com/education/2025…

I talked to Republican lawmakers about deaths since USAID’s withdrawal from the world. Most brushed off the reports, and some insisted that people couldn’t be dying as a result. “I don’t believe that. No.” Read more: notus.org/foreign-policy…
