Yesterday was Mayor John Evans’ final “State of the City” address. I was in attendance along with many, many others. It was an honoring time of him walking the attendees down the long history path of Garden City, including the twenty years of his time as mayor.

Today Susan and I voted early!! Our four-year-old grandson went with us and let EVERYONE working there know that his “Papa” is Dennis Mansfield - and that IF he had a drivers license (and a few more years on himself) HE‘D be voting for his grandfather today!

This evening we were on the phones with a GREAT team of volunteers reminding supporters to vote tomorrow. The reception has been TERRIFIC! Get Out The Vote is so important and key to our success!! (Thank you Marti, Brent, Ang, Steve, Colin, Susan, Amelia and so many more!!)

It's Election Day! Polls are open 8am-8pm. As I think about the future of Garden City, one word stands out: 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧. My vision is simple: plan thoughtfully, build responsibly, and keep our small-city feel while expanding opportunity for families and businesses.
