I'll never insult the sensibilities of indigenous Lagosians by joining in the argument that "Lagos is no man's land." It is my view that it is insensitive to say so. But Lagos is the most cosmopolitan state and city in Nigeria, and the reasons are not far-fetched.

How do lawyers feel when Nigerians say over and over: "you can't trust the judiciary"? How do judges feel when they read it? Do they even send?

One of my top 3 scenes from Gangs of Lagos is the one where Blessing crossed & cleared Pana on the road for abandoning her & his child. Blessings monologue, the way Oba defused the situation & assured her, the way Pana’s friends insulted him, it was a perfect scene !

I watched #OneDayNetflix up until ep 12, but then stopped as I knew what was coming. I think I wanted to rewrite the story in my head and stop it at the nice bit. But that would have been silly, so I watched the final 2 last night, AND IT GOT ME ALL OVER AGAIN! 🥹😢
