Some great conversations with Aviemore locals yesterday as myself, Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP🔶🇺🇦 and the Scottish Lib Dems team spent a couple of hours knocking on doors. Lots of local support for Lib Dems!

Picked a cracking time to go on a campaigning tour of the highlands. Started last night in Aviemore with the energetic Declan Gallagher- strong support for him there. Pit stop in Tain overnight, now off to Thurso. #newhope 🔶🔶🔶

My Highland campaign tour this week was a joy from start to finish- Aviemore with Declan, Thurso with Ron, Wick with Jan, Tain with Sarah, Black Isle with Morven-May and Nairn with Kevin. Every ward told the same story- renewed support for Scottish Lib Dems. They are smashing it. 🔶🔶

.Alex Cole-Hamilton MSP🔶🇺🇦 has today kicked off the Scottish Lib Dem council election campaign, pledging to bring new hope to every corner of Scotland. The party is standing 266 candidates, its highest number since 2007.

Declan Gallacher 🔶🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 is our brilliant new candidate for Badenoch & Strathspey. He's moved to back to the Highlands, and got stuck in immediately. He's treasurer of Grantown Community Councillor and a director of Grantown Initiative.

Took the opportunity to speak today at my first Scottish Lib Dems conference. I highlighted the difficulties people face buying their own home in the Highlands. Locals struggle to buy a home in their hometown! #sldconf

Rather than developers and empty property owners being given further incentive to create new Short Term Lets. We believe communities should have first right of refusal to convert empty, derelict and unused property into good homes. Short Term Lets should be the LAST RESORT!
