We've received word that MPs Libby Coker MP and Tanya Plibersek have organised a Q&A Zoom meeting on 20 August to speak directly w those affected/concerned about the future of Higher Ed. This includes staff and students in Humanities, Law and Commerce areas + prospective students

So Deakin University’s staff “care package” has a list of yoga poses, including this gem. For the record VC, the 100s of us who’ve lost or are losing jobs would like to be living off a little more than “a prayer”. Like, our actual salaries paid from the Future Fund or executive pay cuts?
In Saturday’s Geelong Advertiser, from a Deakin University staff member. Staff don’t need mug cake and wellness tips. We need secure jobs, working conditions that don’t bleed us dry, university management that doesn’t gaslight us with calls for our “flexibility”.
