With winter now officially over, and no snow in sight...I'm closing a book on the snow struggling winter that was 2022-2023. Less than half an inch of snow is the third least in DC history for winter. Three of the top five least snowy winters have come in the last 11 years. Ouch.

Just got back into town from my cousin’s wedding over the long weekend. What’d I miss?

I’m not gonna lie. This has been a tough week. But the DMV has not seen the last of me.

Here is a loop of the entire event. Mild temps and dry air played a role, sure...but with the dew point depression this easily could have been overcome had precipitation lasted longer. It was the shorter than expected duration of the event (over by 3am!) that hurt our totals.
