House prices have been through slightly lean couple of years, but there's definitely not been a crash in prices (as some predicated). Looking at a property this afternoon, and this is what happens in a crash...

I'm sure theres an obvious answer (and I'll look daft!), but can Twitter property folk tell me why windows in these properties are what I'd call 'skew-whiff'. All down this street, first floor windows are skewed to the left of the building's elevation...

The replies to this Tweet are a very good example of how shit Twitter has become. Just blue ticks insulting anyone with a high profile, never any meaningful engagement

Interesting research by Nationwide into the premium payable for a house with a higher EPC rating. Needs to be noted though that the condition of houses in F/G can often be poor, so how much of the hit is down to condition rather than energy efficiency...

I'm valuing three affordable housing sites this month, but they're the first since January. My experience is that all parts of the residential development market are slow.

"The company said the past year had proved tough for the housebuilding industry and potential buyers, as cost of living pressures, much higher mortgage rates and weak consumer confidence weighed on the housing market"

Worth keeping an eye on... previous rent (2009) £250k, now it's £80k. What kind of yield will this achieve? Auctioneer thinks over 10, I'd want more for taking a risk on such a large building with Boots as a tenant. 60% of the 26k sqft is ancillary! What a waste

Large parts of my job are ideal for AI, just a case of how quickly the tech progresses. There will still be a need for boots on the ground surveyor, but issue I will likely face as a solo surveyor is access to the tech, which will no doubt be v expensive theguardian.com/technology/202…
