England beating Australia at any sport -huge headline news. When it's Wheelchair RL, it's monumental. I felt privileged to be at the Copper Box Arena last night to see the likes of Coyd, Collins & Brown bringing their skills to the masses. The world of sport is hungry for more!

How appropriate that there's an aura of Fever Pitch hovering above the Arsenal this afternoon as RLWC21 descends on North London. At last, we have an England team capable of going all the way and East Smithfield devotees of yesteryear eagerly approach the capital.

A milestone, fully deserved RL World Cup victory for the outstanding England team tonight. How far they've come on this last year since losing twice to France at Gillingham. All credit to the indefatigable Robert Fassolette (one day the BBC will pronounce your surname correctly).

Remembering Dave Hadfield today and raising a pint, in his memory, a year on from his departing this life. It was heartening to hear that his family went mob-handed to the LSV on Friday for the kind of historically enthralling contest and occasion that he revelled in covering.
