I went off-grid in the Oregon Cascades to finish my novel about a firefighter. Twenty real firefighters were training at the same location, and several of them were willing to proof the manuscript for authenticity. You can't plan this kind of thing, but you can show up.

I'm putting more into this book than I ever expected, and it feels SO good.
