I am very pleased to announce that our work titled "Pseudorandom density matrices" is now on arxiv: arxiv.org/abs/2407.11607 I would like to thanks amazing collaborators: Dariel Mok, Kishor Bharti , Dax E. Koh and Tobias Haug for fun and interesting discussions.

Can complex quantum states masquerade as trivial states? Our arxiv.org/abs/2407.11607 introduces pseudorandom density matrices: Looking like random mixed states (e.g. maximally mixed state) to any efficient observer, they can have near-maximal magic, coherence and entanglement.

Quantum randomness is notoriously hard to generate. In arxiv.org/abs/2410.05181, we create random quantum states of much higher quality by injecting cheap classical randomness, without needing additional quantum resources. Many thanks to coauthors Dariel, Adam, Manuel, John Preskill!
