I 💯 agree. Before using a library, you should learn how to do something yourself. I avoid unnecessary libraries as much as possible, but a few times I've been "shamed" by others for doing so.

Fun fact, while freelancing I had a folder called "If they decide to pay", which was full of new features already built, I was just waiting for the clients to approve and pay for them 🤣 I was too excited about some of them, so I would build them either way, just for fun 🤣

Do what you can to lift up others around you. A simple compliment can go a long way.

There is something people don’t understand about mentoring. Your mentor is not supposed to “babysit” you, they can’t code instead of you, or watch tutorials. They can only help you with things you don’t understand and guide you.
