Really great to see Thoracic Sub-Study of our SARON study presented at #ESTRO25 Simultaneous delivery of CFRT to primary (+/- nodes) & SABR to thoracic mets in synchronous OM-NSCLC ➡️Acceptable acute RT-related adverse events ➡️No grade >3 adverse events observed

EXTEND showed us that MDT + ADT > ADT RADIOSA showed MDT + ADT > MDT. STORM / PEACE-V showed ENI + MDT + ADT > MDT + ADT All studies had some novel imaging defined mHSPC (STORM was 100% novel) Can we just accept that MDT (+/- elective RT) + ADT is better than either?!?

I learned this week that SABR-COMET patient #1 recently passed away, more than 12 years after enrollment, with no recurrence since his original SABR. We initially treated him for a left adrenal met. It’s an interesting story… ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Here's patient #2 from the REPAIR trial, the first one I've enrolled. These are the two individual plans, previous treatment on the left (5 years ago), new treatment on the right. 51% repair allowed at 5 years at this dose level.

It hit home as I returned to Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, where my own mother received cancer treatment with a message of HOPE to all who fight this disease. To help the more than 247,000 Canadians this year alone who will be diagnosed with cancer, I was proud to announce an ambitious plan to

A new publication shows SBRT is more cost-effective, with a greater improvement in quality of life than surgery for stage I NSCLC. As usual, there are caveats with the analyses. ro-journal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.11…

Dose to prostate (36.25/5) is too cool (PACE-B used 40/5 to prostate) Benign bounce is common in first 3y and that 8% of bb will trip Phoenix definition. I’d be willing to bet that with further FU, BF failure curves will cross But overall great study. Congrats‼️

Serious question: are thoracic surgeons elated or regretful after resecting a lobe or multiple lobes out of patients with a pCR? I can image it might be bitter-sweet learning the surgery could’ve been omitted. Jonathan Spicer MD PhD Stephen R Broderick MD MPHS
